And then one day you’ll realize there’s nothing to fix. You’ll realize it’s time to return to who you were, before the world taught you who you needed to be.
Your story is maybe similar to mine, you’ve built a life that looks good from the outside, yet something within it no longer feels aligned. You feel something new beginning to call you forward.
I know this space well, I’ve lived there. MANY times.
Hey I’m Jess!
Leading from my mind
Early in life, I experienced loss in many forms. My parents’ separation, losing my boyfriend in my twenties, and losing parts of myself in a world I never fully felt a part of.
My nervous system’s response was to become analytical, responsible, and highly independent. I read the room, anticipated and adapted to what was needed. I was the “capable one”, the person who handled it all, alone.
My mind became where I made sense of what I couldn’t understand. The place I felt safe.
These qualities shaped the foundation of my life: learning, working, achieving, and becoming better. They also shaped my career. For 16 years, I helped more than 60 companies navigate uncertainty, see what they couldn’t yet see, and bring their visions to life.
I built a life that might have looked successful on the outside.
But inside, I didn’t feel the way I thought I would.
Maybe you know this experience, too. Understanding yourself deeply while still overthinking, bracing, and repeating the patterns you know so well.
Following the call
At 34, I began to feel that the life I was living was no longer where I was meant to stay. I felt like more was calling. And I didn’t know it yet, but my body was starting to tell me things weren’t in alignment.
So, as any sane person would, I sold most of my belongings, gave up my rental, and took my senior dog on a four-month road trip across the United States.
For the first time since I could remember I chose the path that felt like mine, not what I thought I “should” do. Every time I followed an intuitive nudge, I was making a small deposit into my piggy bank of self-trust.
Then I became an entrepreneur, which has a beautiful way of bringing everything you’ve avoided directly to the surface. There is no hiding from what you’ve been carrying, but ignored. Bless, haha.
I created freedom around me. But I brought survival mode with me, I was forcing, overworking, doubting, and strategizing my way into safety.
Spoiler: you can change your life, but your nervous system and what you carry will follow.
Eventually, I reached the edge of what thinking my way through life could do for me.
Enter reconnecting with my body
My first somatic experience at a retreat in late 2023 opened a door I hadn’t known was there. If you aren’t familiar with the practice it’s a way to tap into the language of the body and work with your nervous system.
After years of being able to explain my emotions, I finally gave myself space to FEEL and express them. FINALLY!!!
Beneath the deep grief, control, and everything I learned to carry, I found energy. Creativity. Connection. An aliveness I hadn’t realized I was missing.
Somatic work helped me meet the emotions I’d avoided and meet the parts of me that had worked so hard to keep me safe—these parts often don’t realize when we’re no longer under threat, and so they stay activated.
As I learned to fully meet myself with compassion, something softened.
I unbecame who I had to be, and met who I really was beneath it all. I remembered that I didn’t have to earn rest. That I could receive support. Trust what I felt. To stay with myself even when the next step wasn’t clear.
I became the safe place I had been searching for outside of myself..
Where it all meets
My 16 year product strategy background gave me the foundation to help people make sense of the unknown, see what they couldn’t see yet, and bring visions to life.
My somatic work allows me to guide others back to themselves.
Today, my work blends these worlds. Bringing together mind and body, inner truth and outer creation. The ability to take what is only a vision and build the capacity to step into it.
I’m here to guide you back to your intuition, to listen to what your body is trying to communicate, meet your protective patterns with compassion, and create the capacity to follow what calls you.
Because the answers you’re searching for often already exist within you.
I’m not here to give you the answers, my work provides the space so you can hear your own. Through the unbecoming of what you thought should be, through the in-between, and into what comes next.
If something in my story feels a little like yours, perhaps this is where we begin.
